Gov. Mark Dayton has appointed Jeffrey Bryan as a judge in Ramsey County.
Now an assistant U.S. attorney, Bryan will take the seat vacated when Judge J. Thomas Mott retired earlier this year.
Bryan has prosecuted white-collar defendants for the U.S. attorney's office. Previously, he was an associate attorney at Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi. His J.D. degree is from Yale Law School.
The governor's office says Brian is is an active member of the Minnesota Hispanic Bar Association and previously served on the Macalester-Groveland Community Council and chaired the Minnesota Minority Recruiting Conference Committee for Twin Cities Diversity in Practice.
