On Sunday, pedestrians, cyclists, and other non-motorized users took over a half-mile stretch of Central Ave. in N.E. Minneapolis for Open Streets. The video below — by YouTube user greenjeansmedia— presents the view from the "Street Animation Station," where passers-by could take advantage of a video camera and projector to make short stop-motion animation films.
If you missed the fun of Open Streets on Sunday, there are two more events planned this year: Minnehaha Ave. in South Minneapolis on August 11, and Lowry Ave. in North Minneapolis on September 21. You can get more information on the events at openstreetsmpls.com.
